Scholarship Options to Attend the 2023 Early Learning Conference

There are scholarship opportunities available for this conference.

The John and Betty Gray Early Childhood Scholarship through OCF and the Oregon Center for Career Development:
If you are eligible to receive this scholarship, please note that this scholarship will only cover the early member rate.  If you are a nonmember, you will have a balance after funds are applied. Please note the Betty Gray funds are limited. If you are a current COCC student, we strongly encourage you to connect with Amy Howell (ahowell@cocc.edu) to learn about registration support. 
If you qualify for scholarship support for the John and Betty Gray Scholarship program, please contact Amanda Smith at  amandas@mtstar.org for instructions for registration reimbursement. Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a copy of your current acceptance documentation in order to qualify for funds this year. Funds are limited.

To be eligible for Betty Gray scholarship support, you must:
  • Be at an Oregon Registry Step 1 or above. If you do not already have a Step, you will receive an automatic evaluation for a Step 1 or 2 when you apply for the Betty Gray Early Childhood Scholarship.
  • Work directly with children at least 20 hours a week in an Oregon Office of Child Care licensed (Certified or Registered) child care facility.
  • Identify specific professional or training goals which align with the scholarship program goals.
Betty Gray Scholarship awards are based on Oregon Registry Step.
At Step 1-8.5, you may apply for:
  • Conference registration fees
  • Cohort training registration fees
  • Oregon Community College tuition (We must receive your application by March 23 Spring 2023)
  • Oregon Community College Transcription
  • CDA Credential application fee
ASCOCC Scholarships for COCC Students:
This scholarship is for current COCC students only. Please contact Amy Howell (ahowell@cocc.edu) if you have questions about your eligibility and registration scholarship codes. 
Registrants who do not meet eligibility criteria, will remain responsible for covering registration expenses.
